Welcome to the website of the Brisbane Sub Section of the Naval Association of Australia.
One of the objectives of the Brisbane Sub Section of the Naval Association's is to nurture the existing older membership plus gain and engage ex-jacks (and Jills) who served in the Navy in the post 1960 period by offering some unique initiatives, inclusive social activities and opportunities to engage with like minded people and have fun.
The Brisbane Sub Section supports the following unique membership initiative:
The Navy Motorcycle Riders Division (Navy Riders).
The Brisbane Sub Section has a proud heritage being one of the oldest Sub Sections in the Naval Association; with a mix of youthful enthusiasm, age, experience, passion and history we intend to remain a flagship Sub Section, well into the future.

The Brisbane Sub Section supports the following unique membership initiative:
The Navy Motorcycle Riders Division (Navy Riders).
- Navy Riders is not a Bike Club; and as such members can ride with whoever they wish. It is for serving members or veterans who just happen to ride motorcycles, not motorcyclists that just happen to have been in the military.

The Brisbane Sub Section is open to anyone who satisfies the membership requirements of the Naval Association of Australia being:
· Former or serving personnel of Commonwealth Navies and Australia’s Allies, provided that any separation from such service was not the result of an assessment of unsuitability or a breach of discipline.
· Former or serving Australian Naval Cadet (ANC) officers and instructors and who have served as such for not less than two years, provided that any separation from the ANC was not the result of an assessment of unsuitability or a breach of discipline.
· Former or serving members of the ANC who have reached the age of 18 years and completed at least three years’ service in the ANC, provided that any separation from the ANC was not the result of an assessment of unsuitability or a breach of discipline.
· Former or serving personnel of any Commonwealth of Nations merchant naval service who, in the performance of their merchant naval duties, have served in a war zone or other theatre of military operations.
The Naval Association of Australia began its life in 1920 as the Ex-Naval Men's Association and is the premier organization outside of Navy looking to the interests of both serving and ex naval members. It embraces all ranks and both men and women. Our motto is "Once Navy - Always Navy"
The Associations principle objectives are to:
· unite and develop friendship among all former and serving naval personnel
· provide representation to Government on Veterans' issues
· provide advisory, advocacy and counselling services
· assistance and support to the Australian Navy Cadets
· engage and provide fellowship for visiting ships personnel during port visits engage the entire Naval family whether veteran or serving
