The Navy Motorcycle Riders Division is an initiative of the Brisbane Sub Section of the Naval Association of Australia. Navy Riders is not a club, has no structure and only a modest objective, being to draw younger members into considering joining the Naval Association of Australia through the common ground of motorcycles and Naval Service.
Navy Riders recognise that there are many motorcycle clubs, military motorcycle clubs, social motorcycle clubs and ride groups which have serving and ex-naval members and we do not aim to replace these.
Membership is open to motorcyclists, who satisfy the requirements of the Brisbane Sub Section membership requirements.
We recognise that Navy Riders are spread across the breadth and width of this country and many find it hard to join any sort of club or ride group due to their location or the specific commitments required of clubs.
Navy Riders aims to do a number of things:
· Unite and develop comradeship among all former and serving Naval personnel
· Promote and assist activities in the wider naval community in order to improve the health and well-being of that community.
· Provide for serving and ex-serving members an avenue to be connected and rekindle old mateships
· Provide a method of national recognition of naval service amongst motorcyclists
Members are encouraged to join their local branch of the Naval Association - initial entry is via the Brisbane Sub Section which is sponsoring the initiative. We hope to gather interested navy motorcyclists in each state that can then work with other local Naval Associations Sub Sections to ensure that the Association continues into the future.
Members will receive:
Membership Fees are payable to the Brisbane Sub Section of the Naval Association of Australia who sponsor the Navy Riders initiative.
